Innovative advertising

For me Norte lead the way for male humour within advertising. Truly hilarious... but any purchase of this product is bound to cause some household arguments.

"Women turn into birds
        of paradise at night"

When reading this quote from Kurt Geiger's SS11 campaign I thought that it really reflected my own outlook on fashion within my own life.
When scrolling through my endless photos on Facebook, it would appear that my life is on pause during the day, starting up again each and every night out. Because according to my documented photographs I do not exist during the day.

The truth is, during the day I am thoroughly appalled by my attempts to be fashionable. Having not been able to afford new clothes for a good couple of seasons in fashion, it is becoming increasingly hard to reshape my wardrobe into something acceptable. For this reason I have tried to become very versatile with my hair, to attract attention away from my failed outfits. Middle-parting, side-parting, doughnut bun, casual pineapple, (which for those of you who don't know is a rather oversized, messy bun, positioned on top of your head and designed to look effortless), but this has all been to no avail, (especially the casual pineapple, very hard to pull off). My hair has become lank from lack of maintenance, not having been cut for six months.

It is for all these reasons that I live for the night-time. There is something about 7pm onwards that brings out the best in my fashionable creativity, maybe it's because in the darkness I can deceive myself? Either way, with the night brings a sudden confidence, my makeup looks better, I look slimmer and my fake tan looks streakless.

There is something about the simplicity of a night-time outfit that screams glamour. That beautiful dress, gorgeous heels, the key piece of jewellery and a sweep of lipstick. It reflects an aura of effortlessness.

I, along with many other women I'm sure, would agree that they become who they want to be at night, taking a step towards that perfect image of femininity they see in their minds. Feeling like a "bird of paradise"

thoughts?

Funny how a music video can totally change your perception of someone within the space of two minutes. It doesn't have to be spelt out for us... we know who this is about.

Just no

Slightly disturbing how quickly he runs after her. If this happened in real life we all know Miss Watson would be sh**ing herself, and any amount of floating hats wouldn't make her feel better about being basically stalked.

And will someone please tell me, where are they? On a boat? In a book shop? In a cafe? Because she definitely seems to be everywhere... maybe she floats too?

Hilarious... I've now watched it about 8 times, ironic.
I AM Black Swan. Note the swan pose...

Weird sense

The blaze`, non snobbish approach to non-branded products. Implying there is no difference, as tea is just tea to all tea lovers. A clear message, and pretty much a two fingers up to the bigger chains... Go Aldi!

I'm with her on this one mind... lets stick to Gin

Beauty of the Hallow

The goal for this Halloween. Black Swan. I'm hoping that in reality I don't just resemble some girl in a black tutu looking like a cross between a 'fallen angel' with smudged make-up and a ballerina.

The simple beauty of a drink and a chat with a friend. I wish I liked coffee... or tea... or hot chocolate.
But I found watching someone else drinking it just as relaxing and satisfying.

Chic. Elegant. No fuss glamour

... The hair I attempted... failed

Brilliant nonsense

Creative genius... but it worries me that someone, maybe more than one person, will be sitting their having no clue that this is a joke... waiting for their 5 minute phone break that never comes. People worry me.

It also worries me that these actors/actresses seem so convincing... I'm hoping this gives credit to their amazing skills at sarcastic humour and that they aren't just crazy Americans picked up off the street.
